Impact, in practice

Four pieces of work that show how I approach HR operations: what the problem was, what I did, and what changed.

Time & Attendance

One standard for NAMER time and attendance

Challenge
Time tracking, on-call, overtime and leave rules vary from province to province, which creates inconsistent practice and pay risk.
What I did
I took ownership of T&A for NAMER and turned provincial differences into one set of standards, workflows and SOPs. I became the final escalation point for wage-hour disputes and timekeeping cases, and set KPIs and SLAs for the work.
Result
95% of escalated cases resolved within SLA, 25% faster average resolution, and one consistent approach across every active province.
Global compliance

Closing compliance gaps across three regions

Challenge
People compliance gaps across APAC, EMEA and LATAM needed visibility, owners and a path to closure.
What I did
I built tracking and governance for global people compliance and drove cross-functional remediation with Legal, Payroll and HR Technology, including working-time and leave gaps in Mexico, Colombia, India, Australia and Singapore.
Result
82% of identified gaps closed, with ongoing monitoring that keeps overall compliance healthy.
AI enablement

Responsible AI for the People team

Challenge
The team needed the speed of AI without putting confidential employee data or compliance at risk.
What I did
As global People lead for AI, I track AI regulation, set responsible-use guidelines and guardrails, and build custom Gemini Gems and automated workflows with Claude and Notion AI.
Result
30% less time on compliance tracking and reporting, with clear rules on what employee data AI tools can and can't touch.
HR operations at scale

Global HR data for 5,000+ employees

Challenge
A large, multi-region workforce depended on accurate HR data across every stage of the employee lifecycle.
What I did
I led and coached a team of 3 HRIS specialists, managed HR data for all four regions, configured time & attendance rules in UKG for an hourly workforce, and ran the HRIS service queue.
Result
About 400 requests a month, consistently within a 24–48 hour SLA, plus a $500K portfolio of 25 HR technology projects.

How I work

Operating principles

The standards I hold myself and my teams to.

  1. Time is pay, and pay is trust. Every hour recorded should be an hour paid correctly. Timekeeping errors don't feel like system errors to employees. They feel like broken trust.
  2. Global standard, local rules. One governance framework that flexes for each country, state and province, not a patchwork of one-off fixes.
  3. Fair process holds up. Escalations get investigation, not assumption, and are handled consistently, confidentially and on the record.
  4. Coach for ownership. Clear goals, honest feedback and real trust build people who own outcomes across borders and time zones.
  5. Automate the repeatable, guard the judgment. AI and automation take the busywork. People keep the decisions. Employee data always has guardrails.
  6. Service is a promise you measure. KPIs and SLAs show whether people are actually being served well, and where to improve next.
Who I am

About me

I make global HR operations work the way they should: accurate, fair, compliant and built to scale.

I'm Amy Ageh, an HR operations and people compliance leader with more than a decade across the full employee lifecycle. I own Time & Attendance for North America, govern people compliance across APAC, EMEA and LATAM, and lead the teams and programs that make it hold up at scale.

My career spans employee relations, HR operations, HR systems and analytics, compensation and global compliance, in global technology, large-scale manufacturing, consumer goods and consulting. That breadth shows me how every part of HR connects. A timekeeping rule becomes a payroll outcome. A data gap becomes a compliance risk. And one escalation handled well builds trust across an entire workforce.

I lead with a coaching mindset. I've developed teams of analysts and specialists, guided managers and People Partners through complex compliance decisions, and partnered with Legal, Payroll, Total Rewards and HR Technology to turn regulation into workflows people can actually follow.

As the global People lead for AI, I'm shaping how HR adopts AI responsibly: tracking regulation, setting guardrails and building the tools myself. I do my best work in fast-moving, remote-first environments where standards are high, ownership is real, and the goal is to make global employment simpler for everyone.

What kind of role are you looking for?

HR operations and people leadership roles, especially managing time & attendance, lifecycle operations or people compliance teams in a remote, global, fast-moving company.

Have you managed teams?

Yes, in every role. I currently lead a team of compliance analysts, owning hiring, onboarding and bi-annual performance reviews, and I guide managers and People Partners on compliance priorities. Before that, I led and coached a team of 3 HRIS specialists.

I own T&A for NAMER: time tracking, on-call, overtime and leave across every active province. I'm the final escalation point for wage-hour disputes and timekeeping cases, resolving 95% within SLA. Earlier, I configured overtime, shift and meal-break rules in UKG for an hourly workforce.

How global is your experience?

NAMER is my focus, but I track and govern people compliance across APAC, EMEA and LATAM, including Mexico, Colombia, India, Australia and Singapore, and I've closed 82% of identified gaps. I've also managed HR data for all four regions for a 5,000+ person workforce.

How do you use AI?

Every day, and responsibly. I'm the global People lead for AI. I track AI regulation, set guardrails for employee data, and build custom Gemini Gems and automated workflows with Claude and Notion AI, which have cut compliance tracking and reporting time by 30%.
